"Welcome to the online page of the Qatar Green Building Council Education Committee. As the Committee’s Chairman, I want to thank you for visiting and taking an interest in the committee’s role in raising awareness about the need to green our buildings, our environment and our lives .
The dawn of the 21st century brought with it a new global reality, accompanied by great challenges . We need to educate the community and show that a change is essential in our way of thinking and in our way of living to preserve this earth for our children and their children to come .
To achieve those goals, the Education committee is working hard to provide education programs, awareness programs, workshops, conferences, and professional development programs to raise the bar and reach out to different segments of our community, be it professionals, university students, and/or K12 school students.
The Education Committee have aggressive plans to offer initiatives and work with the various sustainable community leaders to ensure the message to utilize the best green building practices is delivered . But in order to do this effectively, it needs your help as we rely purely on volunteers for all our programs and activities . All it takes is few hours of your time every week to make a huge difference.
We are proud of our accomplishments and hope that a lot of you will join and share our pride in developing a greener future. I believe, together we can make a difference and make Qatar a model for sustainable living, a great place to live, work and raise a family.
If these ideas appeal to you, I invite you to join the committee, get involved and make a difference."
